Susan Van Veen, executive director, used her extensive experience in the non-profit and consulting sectors to found Bridge to Success. Her vision created a trifurcated social enterprise that uses business and market driven models to meet its social mission and financially sustain itself. In 2004 Susan was one of eleven high-profile Chicago women inducted into the National Association of Women Business Owners (NAWBO) Chicago Chapter’s Hall of Fame. Susan holds a Master of Science from the University of Illinois and a Bachelor of Science from Weber State University. She teaches Introduction to Management classes as an adjunct faculty member in the Business & Entrepreneurship Department at Columbia College Chicago and is the immediate past-president of the national association The Woman’s Alliance Board of Directors. Her favorite thing is helping things flourish and grow, whether that is an organization, individuals or vegetables and flowers.
